“Girls Will Be Girls” is a lesbian feature from 1988 starring Kimi Gee, Tawnee (as Tawny Downs), Kassi Nova, Sharon Kane, Sasha, Susan Manson, and Fallon.  This is NOT the pajama romp “reviewed” on the Internet, nor is it the Redhot Video version by the same title.  This is, sadly, one of those movies where the fast-forward scan button will be one of your favorites.  Director B.J. Elliot does attempt to include scenic design and creative camera angels in this all-girl feature.  However, the poor sound quality, strange editing cuts and overall low-budget quality keeps this from being a much-higher rated movie, even by the leaders in porn back in the day who only rated it a 2-3 star movie.

In the first scene, Kimi Gee has been spying on her neighbor Tawnee and finally gets her to come over for a little outdoor one-on-one time.  Sadly, production values are lacking as there are flies which attempt to land on Kimi’s pussy, the sounds of small aircraft overhead, and the director’s voice overheard instructing the girls on what to do.  Tawnee pleasures Kimi with a pink vibrator, her mouth, her crotch, and her very large and stiff nipples.  Lots of spanking and mutual masturbation ensure both have an enjoyable end to their encounter.  However, during the scene the action slows for an “artistic” look but it really detracts from the action as the sound now makes it seem as if they are in a cave.  That plus Kimi’s high-pitch whiny voice overpowers and ruins the action onscreen.

In the next scene we meet Kassi Novia as Kimi’s cousin while she’s masturbating with a pink vibrator (I think they only had the one) in her ass and a dildo in her mouth.  Tawnee enters and asks Kassi if there’s anything wrong with a girl getting off with another girl and repeats twice that it was the first time she’d done it.  Kassi invites her for a second go as they kiss and play with the dildo.  Kassi eats Tawnee while masturbating with the dildo in her pussy.  This is followed by Tawnee reinserting the vibrator in Kassi’s ass along with the dildo still in her pussy.  Again, the director uses slow-motion filming and echoing sounds to “enhance” the scene.  Sadly, again, the sound detracts from the action as you can clearly hear people speaking but no one’s lips are moving.  Kassi also has extremely long red fingernails which can be erotic but her right index finger is missing one.  Why is that important?  Well, it’s very noticeable and soon became a talking point of the men with whom I screened this video.  Most were wondering where it went and many jokes were made since she still had the other nine intact.  Kassi later sucks on the dildo and asks it to cum in her face, another point at which the males in the group began to giggle.  Tawnee and Kassie then 69, Tawnee masturbates Kassie’s clit with her nipple, followed by Kassi anally masturbating her friend to ecstacy while pleasuring herself with the pink vibrator still in her ass.

The fourth scene has Mary (Fallon) playing chess before turning on the television to watch her favorite porn.  The audience is treated to a scene with Sasha and Susan Manson on a large sectional where they lick and kiss each other while slowly adjusting each other’s clothes as there’s not much to remove.  The music in this scene is much louder, which is good because it blocks the mumbled dialogue.  The action is much slower-paced than the other scenes.  When they finally get down to actually eating each other, most of the scene is over.  If you like girls in high heels and spike-heeled boots, then the scene isn’t a total waste.

Finally Kimi arrives and knocks on the door yelling for Mary (Fallon).  She comes into the room and explains to Mary that she likes to be with women, something she shares with Mary.  After more dialogue and pensive looks towards the television where the “porn” was showing, Kimi convinces Mary to get it on with her.  Kimi’s large tongue does feature well in this scene but it’s her quick orgasms and erect nipples that keep the guys watching.  Fallon produces a string of beads she inserts in her pussy and has Kimi pull them slowly out.  The images of the beads coming out of her pussy are captured in extreme close-up during another slowed-down segment of the scene.

You may wonder why I mention the males who viewed the movie more than the females.  While the ladies also rolled their eyes at the inane dialogue and made pointed comments about the vapid expressions some of the actresses showed, most were glued to the screen during the sex scenes.  None of them had much to say other than comments of “I’ve done that” or “Looks like fun!”

In the end, “Girls Will Be Girls” is not a movie I would highly recommend. There are many, MANY classic and modern lesbian movies that are much better than this one.  If you want it for your classic collection, certainly pick it up.  But if you’re just looking to see something from the 1980s, best to either rent “Girls Will Be Girls” or watch it on VOD (both can be done on the Internet).
