It is my pleasure to introduce to you a brand new series from Hustler, Real Girlfriends – “because women know what women want”! (No offense to men or Rod Fontana, but I think this statement could only be truer if a woman had directed Real Girlfriends.)
Directed by Rod Fontana, Real Girlfriends stars Silvana Ricci, Nicolette, Darryl Hanah, Desire Moore, Chrissy Cane, Marina Maywood, Cori Gates, Phoenix, Max Mikita, and Marley Mason, all “real girlfriends.” (I don’t actually know if that’s true, but I can imagine, can’t I?)
Scene one of Real Girlfriends stars the blonde Amazonian Darryl Hanah and petite brunette Nicolette, bantering back in forth about domestic issues of taking long walks on the beach and moving in together. (How cute!) The sound levels are a bit unbalanced, which makes their banter hard to understand. (Of course, I realize I should be focusing more on the sex and less on the banter.) The chemistry between Darryl and Nicolette is natural and realistic, and it’s great watching them make love.
Scene two from Rod Fontana features tall Chrissy Cane and curvy Desire Moore. Rod Fontana tries to recreate the interactions between real couples – domestic banter, cooking, dates, and other things “real” people do. It would come off as campy if these women weren’t good actresses. They are confident and talented in all of their performances before the camera, especially when it comes to the sex.
The third scene of Hustler’s Real Girlfriends stars nerdy Phoenix and pale Silvana Ricci. Phoenix has adorable glasses, and it’s really just great to see a girl with glasses in an adult film. I happen to know quite a few men (and women!) who love nerdy girls with glasses, and I think it’s a realistic detail that can be included in an adult film without being made into a fetish. Silvana and Phoenix’s lovemaking is sweet and passionate.
Scene four from Hustler and Rod Fontana features curvy Marley Mason and dark haired Max Mikita. The acting in this scene isn’t really as good as the other scenes, and the scenario is just a bit goofy and cheesy. I guess in the end, porn is still porn, and you can’t make a good adult flick without some cheese! The sex, however, is lovely and arousing, and Marley and Max are two attractive, naturally sexy women.
The fifth scene of Real Girlfriends stars petite Marina Maywood and Cori Gates. Cori Gates is very different from the other women in this film, who are all young, cute, and totally feminine. Cori Gates is tall, muscular, and a bit… manly. Her voice sounds less like a MILF’s and more like a teenage boy’s. Marina Maywood, however, is as womanly as a woman can get. Their encounter, however, was fun to watch, and it was nice to see Hustler at least attempting to include a variety of women and body types, shapes, colors, and sizes in Real Girlfriends.
Girlfriends or not, Silvana Ricci, Nicolette, Darryl Hanah, Desire Moore, Chrissy Cane, Marina Maywood, Cori Gates, Phoenix, Max Mikita, and Marley Mason are natural and realistic. Their chemistry is organic, and they aren’t dressed up in gaudy, unlikely costumes, makeup, hair and jewelry. Rod Fontana and Hustler created a great compromise – the squeaky clean production of industry standard pornography meets the delicious naturalism of gonzo flicks to create Real Girlfriends.
